You know that you are really living the way you want to when you are plugging the keys to your bands blog, booking concerts, designing band t's, kicking back and listening to Soilwork's new album. Now thats the shit right there. Let me introduce myself and the band that is my family and best friends. My name is Jake,I am the lead vocalist for this awesome band, co-manager, graphic artist, press manager, stage designer, etc. I do a bunch of crap. I get to keep relations going and keep the network of webpages floating. While doing all of this chaotic business i also am balancing being a college student, part time employee and a teenage american metalhead. I have a lot going on for the sweet age of 19. Then we have Jesus, he is my partner in crime when it comes to managing this fast growing monster that is Aeglyss. (for all of you out there who are trying super hard to pronounce our name you pronounce it as if it were spelled ageless.) Jesus, our lead guitarist and backing vocalist, really he is the legs of this organization. He takes care of a bunch of the dirty work that it takes for us to properly operate. He does booking, networking, contacts upper management figures and asks all of the questions to get us rolling. He does this all while holding his job and trying to survive his last year of high school, he really has a lot on his plate. He has written multiple songs and many lyrics. Taylor Nichols...... well.... He is the theoretical genius behind our music. He helps take concept and makes it reality. To be honest he is the most amazing bassist i have ever seen, he is and incredibly solid guitarist, and a respectable drummer. This 16 year old prodigy of the musical arts is a vital part of what we have today. As well as truly being gifted at any instrument he touches he also is our sound engineer, overhead for practicing, and resident tech. But, None of us would even be where we are now if it wasnt for Justin, my brother, one of our founders, and our tried and true Leader. The untitled CEO of our band he runs the chopping block, he takes care of cash and oversees that our vision is kept to and not deviated from. He has had a hand in writing nearly all of our songs and our best lyrics. We owe a lot to him for being the hard ass who has kept us on track and not lets us dev. At 17 i dont understand how he is so focused and driven but when he puts his mind to it, it gets done. Watch out world! We now proudly introduce Austin Gruhn as a member of the Aeglyss lineup. Fresh out of georgia this guy showed up and started laying it down from the minute we met him. A quite guy with a mean mug and strangely deep voice, we cannot wait to see what the future has in store for Austin during his time with us. We as the band Aeglyss are set on bringing our own brew of Melodic Death Metal to the scene. We are set on professionalism and musicianship above the rest. This holds true to any and all recordings of our band. All you will here on our recordings is what is played live. No effects, truely live vocals (not EQ'd or altered in any way), no bullshit. That is our stance, That is our future, That is what you will always get. Aeglyss.
